(And no, you don’t have to become a gym bunny,
drink green smoothies, or give up martinis)

Announcing the end of overwhelm – especially if your to-do list and/or your family have sucked your life dry.

THERE IS A SOLUTION.

First, the facts:

  • 50% of women say their stress increased in the past 5 years
  • Women are more likely than men to have stress at highest levels
  • Highly stressed people are 50% more likely to have a shorter life

Sources: American Psychological Association, National Academy of Sciences of USA

You Sleep Better

  • It’s a fact. Researchers have found that reduced stress actually does improve sleep – critical for brain, memory and general health

You Live Longer

  • Self-care reduces the risk of heart attack, stroke, early onset diabetes, dementia and cancer by 70 to 80%

You Have More Energy

  • When your life is in balance, you no longer need caffeine, chocolate and pills to drag you through your day

. . . and you’re just plain happier

You don't use your gym membership. Or the meditation tracks. Or the dieting program.

They just sit there.

Let’s assume you’re like most of us, and you know you could do a better job at self-care. And you’ve tried!

Maybe you bought a long-since-abandoned membership to the gym. Or a great big container of protein powder for all those smoothies you never made. Or a series of meditation tracks you’ve never actually listened to.

Sound familiar?

Let’s admit it. They just aren’t realistic. There was no way in hell you were going to fit all that time-consuming, expensive stuff in to an already packed life.

At the end of the day, it’s easier just to pour a drink and call it good. Or lose yourself in endless hours of Game of Thrones, a bag of chips and a pint of ice cream.

You’re too mentally exhausted to do anything else – especially after the kids had to have dinner, homework help, a bath and bedtime. And then there’s the work you haven’t gotten to yet …

So one wonders ... where is the time for you?

There is time for you … if you know where to look for it.

Reason One: We take care of everyone else first

We don’t make self-care a priority

As women, we show up again and again for everyone else. Sometimes we need to. Yet, there are also times and places where we can hold back and think about ourselves first.

And yet ... you can do things differently.

Reason Two: It’s an easy habit to get into – and that’s all it is.

A habit. A belief that can be changed like any other.

Yet the mere idea of changing it may make you feel guilty. This is the single biggest reason why so many women feel out of balance.

Reason Three: We don’t always know what we want and need.

What do you need? Do a million things jump to mind … or is your brain strangely silent?

That’s what happens when we’ve lost touch with ourselves. But it doesn’t have to be this way.

When you lower the body and mind-altering chemicals induced by stress, you start to reclaim yourself.

Then life gets clearer.

Reason Four: We hate asking for help

Most of us have been trained not to ask for help. Yet, sometimes help is sorely needed.

The surprising truth is that other people actually love to help us. Often, they’re just waiting to be asked.

Did you know you may already have untapped sources of support?

Guess what? You’ve actually got the tools to discover exactly what you want and need. They may just be obscured by all the frantic busy-ness in your life.

Or you may be waiting for someone to come along and give you permission, or ask the right questions.

A Two-Hour Life Shakedown That Helps You Get Back to … You!

I’ve taken the three-hour workshop I teach in corporations, where pressure is massive and self-care is non-existent, and squeezed the essence of it into an easy online course for you.

Truly beneficial self-care – the kind that lasts —
is not about getting more massages and smoothies.

Instead, it requires slowing down just enough to hear yourself think. And then asking yourself some critical questions about what you want and need in your life.

What’s missing? What’s abundant and what needs tweaking? Who do you need to say ‘No’ to more often?

Once you have that clarity, you have choices. And here’s where most self-care programs trail off…

What good is all that clarity if nothing ever comes of it? (Think back to the unused gym membership … the dusty jar of protein powder sitting on your shelf …)

In Self-Care for Extremely Busy Women, I help you take your freshly uncovered wants and needs and then act on them.

  • How to ask for hard things … even at work
  • How to set better boundaries
  • How to prioritize what matters
  • How to carve time out for self-care where none currently exists

You’ll learn

  • How to have relationships that truly support your self-care

And best of all …

This is what it takes to move confidently towards more serenity, more energy, and more happiness – no matter what your circumstances.

I learned all about self-care after the sudden death of my daughter Teal in 2012.

Teal was an epileptic who dropped dead from a medically unexplainable cardiac arrest. Yet, before her death, she had the best self-care of anyone I never knew.

In short, she honored herself fully and completely.

Teal listened to her body carefully, so she never went one inch beyond what she could comfortably do. She also spent a lot of time journaling, learning all about herself and her wants and needs.

Those journals changed my life forever. In them, I found what I needed to stop being a work-obsessed overachiever.

I learned how to slow down, come back to myself, and begin again. This is how I built an entirely new life after her death – one that honors me and is rich with self-care. So I now am blessed with abundant peace, joy, love and serenity.

It is my privilege in this course to share some of Teal’s insights as we go …

When you sign up, you receive 12 fun, soothing videos. Almost all of them are less than 10 minutes long. They’re short, focused and impactful, and they help you make self-care a lasting priority in your life.

I also have some very special worksheets to help you get clear on exactly what has to change, here and now.

You will also get a chance to join me and your self-care sisters by video every month. You can even submit questions in advance if you prefer listening to the recording. I will be taking your questions, sharing ideas, and doing any spot coaching needed to help you stay on track with your self-care.
